Ensuring access to quality education for children in developing countries

Access to quality education is a fundamental right, yet millions of children in developing nations remain out of school due to poverty, conflict, and lack of infrastructure. These barriers prevent children from reaching their full potential and stall the progress of entire communities. UNICEF seeks to bridge this gap by advocating for inclusive learning environments, better teacher training, and the removal of financial barriers to schooling. By ensuring every child has a desk and a book today, we are securing the leaders of tomorrow.

Using technology to improve learning worldwide

In an increasingly digital world, technology has the power to revolutionize how we learn, yet a "digital divide" leaves many students behind. From remote classrooms to AI-driven tools, technology can make education more interactive and accessible to all. UNESCO focuses on how we can use these digital advancements to reach the most remote areas while ensuring online safety and quality. Our goal is to harness innovation to create a world where knowledge is just a click away for every student, regardless of their location.

Encouraging equal opportunities for young people

Gender inequality often begins at a young age, with girls and young women facing unique obstacles in education, leadership, and social freedom. These disparities limit the growth of society as a whole and prevent young people from achieving their dreams. UN Women works to dismantle these barriers by promoting equal participation in all sectors and empowering the next generation of female leaders. True progress is only possible when every young person has the same seat at the table and the same opportunity to succeed.

Dear Delegates, Advisors, and Guests,

It is my distinct honor and pleasure to welcome you all to the BAUMUN JUNIOR 2026. As your Secretary-General, I am thrilled to see so many young leaders gathered here to tackle the most pressing challenges facing our global community today.

Model United Nations is more than just a simulation; it is a platform for your voices to be heard. Throughout this conference, you will step into the shoes of diplomats, representing nations from every corner of the globe. You will be tasked with navigating complex issues from ensuring education for all children to protecting our environment and strengthening global security.

For many of you, this may be your first experience with international diplomacy. I encourage you to embrace this opportunity with courage and curiosity. Remember that the goal of the United Nations is not to "win," but to find common ground. The best solutions come from collaboration, empathy, and a commitment to making the world a better place for everyone.

I forward to seeing the innovative resolutions you will create and the friendships you will build. Let’s work together to prove that you are never too young to change the world.
